About Mel & the Side Effects
So…Mel and the Side Effects. Who are we? Well, We are an americana folk and a little bit of blues band. Yeah, that’s a mouthful, but that’s the best we could come up with. Our band is made up of three friends: Mike Haldorson, Jeremy Plumb, and Dan Schultz. We are mainly acoustic(guitar, bass and drum) and like to be laid back, but occasionally plug in the tele and jam a bit. We typically play original songs and a mix of covers, and leave some time for stories and banter. We have been playing together in one form or another for around 15 years.
