About Michael Eastwood
As a musician, I've always resisted being pigeon-holed into a particular genre. I studied classical composition and piano at the Royal Academy of Music, but I enjoy turning my hand to anything and everything. Along with classical repertoire from Bach to Birtwistle, I've always enjoyed listening to the jazz greats and I think this is evident in the harmonic language of my music, even in that of my concert works.
