Deni Hines began her career singing backup vocals for acts like Wa Wa Nee, Peter Blakely and Kylie Minogue. She first gained mainstream attention as the vocalist for Sydney based group, The Rockmelons - having several Australian hits including, "Aint no Sunshine', "That Word (L.O.V.E.)” and "It's Not Over". Prior to pursuing a solo career, Hines spent time performing with a production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
