About Millicent Martin
b. Millicent Mary Lillian Martin, 8 June 1934, Romford, Essex, England. Intent on a stage career, Martin started out as a child actor. When she was in her early twenties she established herself through playing in both the West End and Broadway productions of The Boy Friend (1954). This began a long period of minor roles on the stage and in films and television. Among her London stage appearances were Expresso Bongo (1958) and The Crooked Mile (1959), while her films in this period included Libel (1959) and the television film The Horsemasters (1961).
