Teesa Houston’s “collage” derives from her multi-cultural background - being of Filipino decent, adopted from Japan as an infant by a military family, and raised in an African American home of which she moved frequently on and off military base-housing throughout her upbringing including Japan, Hawaii, Ohio, and South Dakota.
