About Adjagas
This Norwegian duo comprises the Sámi yoikers Sara Marielle Gaup and Lawra Somby. The Sámi people comprise one of the largest ethnic groups in Europe but their traditional vocal music had declined in popularity over the course of the twentieth century, with the yoik (or joik) style most frequently surfacing when used in combination with other music forms.
