About Alex Papadiamantis
Alex Papadiamantis was born in Hamburg. He started violin at the age of 8 at the Athens Conservatory with Tatsis Apostolides, and continued his violin studies in the Greek Conservatory (where he also studied Piano, Harmony, History of Music and Counterpoint) with Stelios Kafantaris and graduated with a grade A Soloist Diploma and a first prize. He took part in several music competitions in Greece such as “Youth Musicians”- 1983 (Athens) and “Chamber Music”- 1993 (Thessaloniki), and was awarded first prize.
