About Cave Birds
Short-lived pop venture from singer-songwriter Thomas Brookes; primarily influenced by Hounds Of Love and Purple Rain. Two singles in 2011 “Some Lightning Thrill (Plumpton Presents/Tri-Tone) and “In Love from Afar” (Two Sisters) received heavy rotation on BBC radio before the project was ultimately shelved by Brookes in 2012. A compilation album “A Field Guide”, containing both singles and their b-sides, plus previously unreleased demos and tracks originally recorded for the debut album that never came, is out November ‘18.
