About Shingirayi
Shingirayi, also known as Mau Mau, is a Zimbabwean hip-hop artist, writer, producer, and DJ, rooted in his Christian faith. His hip-hop journey began in high school, evolving at Canadian university in the early 90s, joining Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto scenes. Returning to Zimbabwe as “Mau Mau,” he debuted in 1996. His 1997 hit single, “Mau Mau,” produced by Fortune Mparutsa, launched his career.
