About Shamu
Shamu are a band based in Newcastle made up of Jon Evans, Will Holton, Josh Ingledew and Sam Hodgson. The band released their debut album in June 2020 and will release two self-produced EP’s in 2021. The first is titled “Unwound” and will be released on July 9th. It was recorded at Blank Studios in Newcastle in between national lockdowns, and in the homes of the band members. The EP shines a spotlight on the organic and imperfect nature of real humans playing “real” instruments in a slight departure from the heavily electronic sound of their previous releases.
