About Derrick Russell
Derrick Russell, born in Atlanta, Georgia never really thought about taking on the art of rap until his Fifth grade teacher encouraged him to keep writing after discovering his poetry. At the age of 14, living with his grandmother he invited his cousin over for a normal weekend. They both discovered that the Mp3's in their possession had built in microphones. That is when the first rap was written, and recorded through a Sansa MP3 player. At the Age of 15 he won five hundred dollars which went to his first batch of music equipment.
