Frederic Da, better known by his stage name “DA”, defines himself as a Trap Pop Cinephile EP#78 is a collection of songs DA originally recorded between 2012 and 2015 while working with producers A.Chal (Round Whippin’, Vibe W U) Count Justice (Chris Brown’s New Flame) and MAX LBC , but later scrapped because of a self-diagnosed depression that was “deep and dark as fuck”. From the opening track “Da Intro” it becomes clear that the artist is in a dark place mentally, which is only accentuated by the moody samples, drone-like sounds and saturated bass in MAX LBC’s production.
