About The Choice Four
The Choice Four were a harmonizing soul group from Washington, D.C., whose records deserved a better fate. They recorded for RCA in the mid-’70s, but were never able to achieve a breakout hit, despite making some very moving, nicely sung ballads. Lead singer Bobby Hamilton was an above-average stylist, and was effectively supported by Ted Maduro, Pete Marshall, and Charles Blagmore. Maduro and Marshall were former members of the Love Tones, and Blagmore of the Stridels.
