About Rips
The Brooklyn-based band Rips are students of the music made in New York during the ’70s and their dual-guitar attack and twisting melodies call to mind great bands like Television and the Feelies. Formed in 2013, the publicity shy quartet built a following in the city by playing a ton of shows, both as headliners and as openers for similar sounding bands like Sauna Youth, Terry Malts, and Parquet Courts.
