About Chris Potter
Pianist, composer and producer Chris Potter was born and raised in north east PA and greatly influenced by the pianists from his hometown, Eric Doney, Jesse Green, and Bobby Avey, all of whom Chris studied with. While studying at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA he focused on composition and sound recording ultimately earning a degree in music technology. Chris has been part time faculty at Duquesne as an accompanist to vocal students since 2017. He has worked at multiple studios in the Pittsburgh area as an engineer and pianist.
