About Recreational Mouthwash
Recreational Mouthwash first materialized as a queer-dominant musical project in 2018 when bassist Jimmy Kavetas, drummer Ian Lange-McPherson, and rhythm guitarist/frontwoman Kate Gallagher met as audio engineers at their college radio station. Bonding over their love of indie pop pillars like Soccer Mommy and Slowdive, Recreational Mouthwash initially found their footing playing bills around bars and clubs in NYC, where they are currently based.
