Kai Fennell and Cam Fyall began producing in a studio local to them in 2021 and found a rhythm in writing alternative electronic songs that explored the emotional challenges of adulthood. The stylistically ambiguous Sky Can’t Keep is inspired by a plethora of alternative sounds, from artists like LCD Soundsystem, Majical Cloudz and The Flaming Lips as well as more recent releases from Young Fathers, Alex G and Black Country, New Road. Lyrically, they attempt to navigate the emotional minefield of their mid-twenties.
