About TJ Welch and the Wasted
TJ Welch and The Wasted started up in Boston in 2023, founded by TJ Welch—best known as the guitarist for punk veterans The Welch Boys. Looking to branch out from some of punks speed and aggression, TJ envisioned a sound rooted in rock and roll, still catchy and high-energy, but with a melodic edge. He linked up with drummer Eric Bowman, and the two quickly started writing songs.
