About bladebae
Rubén Vázquez Amos (A.K.A. bladebae) was born in Huelva, a small city off the breezy southern Atlantic coast of Spain, to a Spanish father and British mother. He was raised about 1.5hrs due north, in the mountains between the southern Portuguese border and the baking hot plains of Sevilla. In 2013 he decided to take himself and his many musical ideas and move to London, where he resides to this day. His 2019 single Abel Fragüe is an imagistic reflection on the melancholy of this "voluntary estrangement", which in many ways was in keeping with the pattern of mass youth exodus from Spain sinc...
