About Distant Lovers
Distant Lovers is the musical project of San Francisco Bay Area-based musician Alex Lasner. The project began taking shape in his head while touring as a guitarist in the band Day Wave. Alex spent hours and hours staring out the van window at passing landscapes, pondering the present, reflecting on the past, and making plans for the future. He began translating those feelings into melodies and music on an ‘80s Casio keyboard at his Brooklyn apartment in-between tours.
