Umbilical is my first song in 9 years after recovering from 2 business failures and rebuilding my life, then eventually rediscovering my true self through making music again. Named after the lifeline for astronauts on their spacewalks, this song is for me, about struggle, shock, acceptance, and then rebuilding through embracing the journey and getting down to that problem solving that brings you to the next level and you come out stronger than ever. This song means so much to me, and I can only hope it touches you and brings your imagination to life to tell your own story.
