About Federation JI
Federation JI is the new project from Icelandic producer Felix Leifur and Japanese artist Daichi Saito. Mixing grooves, live instruments, synths, and dreamlike textures, the duo move between ’70s/’80s jazz-funk, ’90s rock, and futuristic electronica. It’s a cross-cultural collaboration where Daichi’s keys and synths blend with Felix’s guitars and rhythms, creating Japanese/Icelandic future funk — nostalgic, atmospheric, and full of emotion.
