About Al Barnes
DIY Singer/songwriter Al Barnes hails from a small town called Elbow Lake, MN. When he was 14, Barnes got a guitar for Christmas and instantly became obsessed. He taught himself how to play, quit sports and formed a band with his friends called NotWithstanding. Barnes played around the Midwest for a decade and even had a stint on the '05 Warped Tour. After that, he played bass in the Minneapolis based rock n roll band, Xerxes Palomino.
