About Nico Newton
Dominique Dequan Newton, aka Nico Newton, was born on the West Side of Chicago. Growing up in the West Side of Chicago can take the lives of multiple boys and men daily due to the violence; which is considered the way of life there on its streets. Nico’s mother, Ericka Ivy, was determined to provide safety for her children by keeping them off the streets, and occupying them inside the home by injecting music into the family’s blood.
