About Alex Catchings
Alex Catchings is a singer-songwriter and solo guitarist in Irvine, California. His compositional influences include the likes of Jeff Tweedy, Fionn Regan, Elliott Smith, Sara Bareilles, and Goh Nakamura. He began writing music in 2006 and honed his lyricism while earning a B.A. in English Literature at the University of Washington. While in Seattle, Alex practiced home recording and began light vocal training before moving to California, where he worked toward his Ph.D. in English at UC Berkeley.
