About Yana
YANA (Joanna Bieńkowska) is an instrumentalist and composer based in Gdańsk, Poland. The idea of making her own sounds has become from a deep, hidden need to create individual language in music. As a classically trained violinist, during the studies, YANA has started to write songs, but especially instrumental pieces. Her music is a merger of melancholy, space and simplicity which appears in the sounds of piano, strings and electronics.
