Born Michelle Oreoluwa Sarumi, MIMZ (formerly known as Mimi) is a native of Lagos state. She's a graduate of Eastern Mediterranean University, where she obtained a degree and finished top of her class in Radio, TV and Film Studies. MIMZ's musical journey started in 2011 when her then management put her in a group with another rapper “Thelma” and created what became Nigeria’s first girl rap group “dem gurlz”.
