About The Heats
Nearly a decade before major labels scoured Seattle for grunge bands, the Heats packed the city's bars with a blast of high-energy power pop. Inspired by Elvis Costello and the Beatles, the Heats' frantic live performances drew big crowds. Formed in 1978, the Heats were originally called the Heaters; however, the group had to shorten their name because it already belonged to another band.
