Founded by Brazilian vocalist and guitarist Noelle dos Anjos (ex-Cobra Spell, ex-AlkoholikA) and drummer Murilo Frade, NUNGARA — meaning "equal" in Tupi-Guarani — was born in the heart of Berlin during the summer of 2019. Felix Patzig joined as bassist from 2021 to 2024, and in 2025, Artur Cipriani (Amuro, ex-Human Abyss, ex-No One Spoke) stepped in as the band’s live bassist.
