About J-6ix
J-6ix (born Jarred Jacobs) is a hip hop, alternative R&B South African multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter. He was born into a music family, where he developed a passion for playing instruments (playing the bass guitar, electric guitar, keyboard and drums) and picked up producing in 2011 using the Garage Band software on his dad’s iPad. His passion for music only grew stronger since then and has released a plethora of instrumentals since then. His frequent collaborators include Yolophonik, Lostboy, Soulkit, Tsukudu and Solo Sae.
