About Poolboy
Formed in 2013, Norman, Oklahoma trio Poolboy consists of Sean Barker (Early Beat) and Michael Loveland (Early Beat) and John Calvin Abney (John Moreland & occasionally guitars for Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires). The trio released a 7" in 2014 that gave a quick taste of the shared vocals and frenetic guitars of Barker and Loveland and the energetic drumming of Abney. Just as the single was released Michael Loveland was diagnosed with cancer.
