About Justen Jackson
Self aware raps gliding over soulful beats is Justen Jackson’s calling card. Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, he grew up in the church so his sound is heavily inspired by gospel music, and just living life. He released his debut mixtape “The Sallie Mae Demo” in 2014 and shortly after joined The Shreveport Soul Society, a collective of other local Shreveport artists that opened locally for the likes of Big Freedia, Alfred Banks, and Mega Ran.
