Artist mikewave is a pop/alt R&B creative based in Philadelphia. A guitarist first, he weaves guitar and bass into his tracks. He started with garage band blink-182 covers before evolving into a sound that blends R&B and alternative pop. Inspired by Omar Apollo and blackbear, his music fuses live instrumentation with modern production. In 2018, he featured on Focus and produced Chica de Tequila with blasé, sparking a long-running creative partnership.
