About Shaq'khi
Music found Shaq'Khi in 2004 when he chose to play alto saxophone in elementary school. At home he wasn't tuned into much music from the TV but songs from Outkast, T.I. & Lil Bow Wow stood out. His mom would play mainly reggae music, Badu, India Arie, Sade, Jill Scott, & Michael Jackson. The youth were barely inside where he grew up and the culture outside was G-Unit, Dipset, Soulja boy & Weezy. In the pursuit to elevate his craft he began to study genres of music outside of Hip-Hop, mainly soft rock & alternative music like Gorillaz, Bon Iver, MGMT, Radiohead, Coldplay, Father John...
