Not for Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Claude Code — you sign in with your Soundcharts account during setup. Clients that can't open a sign-in window use an MCP credential (client ID and secret) to generate an access token, valid for one year.

Q: Do I need a separate developer plan?

No. The MCP server is included with Soundcharts PRO and with any API plan, and Pro users get 330 API queries a day. That is enough to start using the MCP server right away. Teams that need more can scale up with a Soundcharts API plan.
