Kyng Kai (born MarQuan Mailakai James Hughes), began developing his artistic identity since 18 years ago, when he first started out as a relentless battle rapper in Rockford, Illinois. When trying to establish himself as the rapper Mailakai Fyah, the artist grasped his money-making potential when he successfully sold thousands of DVDs to strangers around 2007.
