About Apassionata
A classical crossover and new age/ethnic fusion duo consisting of Don Lax (violin) and Vance Koenig (guitar), Apassionata came together when Lax and Koenig met while performing at hotels and resorts in Hawaii. Their first album, inspired in part by Gypsy and tango music, was entitled Kiss of Fire. While performing at the Four Seasons in Wailea, the duo began to receive numerous requests to play the music of Andrea Bocelli.
