Adaline, aka Shawna Colleen Beesley, is a singer and songwriter who blends indie rock with torchy, dark electropop. Born in Ottawa, Canada, she had an itinerant childhood due to her father's work as a minister. A musician from childhood, she was out of touch with current music trends when she started writing songs because pop music was discouraged in her conservative household.
