About Markéta Irglová
A Czech singer based in Iceland, married to an Icelandic producer Sturla Mio Thorisson. Together they work and create music at their recording space Masterkey Studios. Markéta became known after starring in an independent Irish movie called Once, for which she co-wrote the music alongside Glen Hansard , an Irish singer-songwriter. In 2008, Glen and Markéta received an Academy Award for best song, with their duet from Once - Falling Slowly.
