About Anik Jean
A Canadian Francophone artist whose specialty is a rather dark brand of moody pop, Anik Jean released her first album, Le Trashy Saloon, in 2005. Bolstered by the success of her first single, "Je Suis Partie," her well-received full-length earned her a coveted support slot for the Rolling Stones when they made their way through Montreal in 2006. In 2008, Jean released her follow-up album, the Mark Plati-produced Le Ciel Saigne le Martyr.
