About Merganzer
Merganzer is the project of Canadian Violinist Mika Posen (formerly of Timber Timbre and Agnes Obel's touring bands). Channeling and expanding the soundscapes, ambient textures, and melodic interludes she created for numerous bands over the past decade, Merganzer brings Posen’s musical craft to a slow-burning fruition. Her expressive pop-noir songs and minimalist instrumental pieces slip in and out of genres and transcend time periods, using everything from violin loops, to layered synths, to homemade beats.
