About Campbell Downie
Cam was born in Singapore, of Scottish decent and moved to New Zealand when he was 6. He started learning music on a beat up old cornet bought by his father and this started him on a journey that would see him become a composer, producer, arranger, engineer, musical director and teacher. He released his first single at the age of 14 in a band formed at school called Splitting Image, produced by Russel Crowe and went onto play Keyboards at the age of 16 in Russels band the Romanantics.
