About The Third
The Third is a Chicago Based Poet/rapper and educator from the south side. He started writing around ten years old and was greatly inspired by poetry from his father and work by his mentor (Geoffrey "Dr. Groove" Watts). “The Third” has featured on shows such as “The Daily Show”, “Hamilton: The Musical”, Pitchfork 2019, and WGN TV. In May 2019, The Third released his debut EP “Cursive” which covered his processes of moving forward, staying happy through hardship, and his love for family and friends.
