behemoth the cat is an experimental folk/ambient project based in Ontario, Canada. The band uses conventions of free-verse poetry to inform their songs, suffusing their pieces with an almost anti-metrical, spontaneous candour in an attempt to both explore and cultivate the inherent, often mysterious, beauty that exists within the ephemeral ‘now.’ There is something innately sublime in the transience of accident—something ameliorative in the vulnerability of sudden instinctual effusion.
