About Orí Harmelin
The Lute player Orí Harmelin was born 1981 in Haifa, Israel. The fascination with early music led him to his studies at the Early Music Institute in Trossingen, Germany under Rolf Lislevand and Kees Boeke’s tutelage, followed by studies in the Zurich Art academy under the tutelage of Eduardo Eguez. Orí is a co-founder of ensemble Santenay (2004-2017). He is the house lutenist of ensembles Profeti della Quinta and Voces Suaves and since 2023 plays regularly with ensemble Sollazzo.
