King Martin, a Las Vegas native, attended University of South Carolina on a full athletic track scholarship. He became an All-American and record holder before running professionally for Nike. He obtained the gold medal running on the USA 4×100m relay team and obtained Olympic honors running in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
