Dallas’ Cryptolog blends a mix of shimmering reverb with catchy, melodic, indie pop. Named after the NSA's classified newsletter, Cryptolog formed in 2014 with Jerome Brock (guitar/vocals) and Brian McKay (guitar/vocals) both formerly of Memphis band Jetty Webb, Frank Pittenger of the Lucky Pierres on drums, Charlie Begue on bass, and multi-instrumentalist, Kim Herriage, also of the Lucky Pierres.
