About Evan Shay
Evan Shay is a saxophonist, producer, and composer based in Montreal, QC. Originally from Seattle, WA, Shay relocated to Montreal in 2010 where he completed his undergraduate and master's degrees in jazz performance at McGill University. His first solo release was in 2014, an EP entitled Homeward. In 2017, Evan was named one of the “35 Best Canadian Jazz Artists Under 35” by CBC Music. His band Lawful Citizen released a self-titled EP in 2017 and a full-length release Internal Combustion in 2018.
