About Lou Richards
Lou Richards is a singer-songwriter, Buddhist and mother based in York, UK. In 2018 she released the Good Woman EP, a collection of songs based around the timeless themes of relationship, motherhood and the soothing power of the natural world. One of these songs, the haunting Begin Again was made Single of the Week via BBC Introducing. In 2024, having mainly played to her Buddhist friends in the interim, Lou decided to revisit these songs and write some new ones. The album The Sage and the Rose, out now, is the result of that blossoming creativity.
