Paul is a huge fan of post punk music from the late 1970s and early 1980s. The album Interpretation is a collection of Paul’s adaptations, acoustic covers and imaginings of Joy Division and early New Order songs. Of the 14 tracks, nine are by Joy Division, three by New Order and two (Driftwood and Before the Storm) are taken from Ian Curtis’s “Unseen Lyrics” published in Deborah Curtis’s biography of Ian.
